  • Assistant Operations CMI Brand Manager Industrial Placement

    What is the role…

    We are looking for a motivated and ambitious assistant manager to be a member of the Elida Beauty Marketing Team.

    This role requires working with multiple partners, including our Research Suppliers, Media agency, along with functions across the wider team – we are all re-founders on this exciting new adventure.

    Exciting and fast-paced, this will be a busy and dynamic environment where you will be expected to work collectively with others across the business to unlock the power of our brands for both consumers and the customer. This is a wide encompassing role that spans the full marketing spectrum, from Consumer research to business operations as well as strategy.

    While you will directly support a insights manager, our approach is ‘all hands on deck’, with plenty of opportunities to hone your skills by having ownership over different types of projects and initiatives. The CMI/ Business Ops team works closely with Supply Chain, R&D and the commercial teams to balance the need for short term growth and delivering against forecasts, with longer term strategic thinking that drives our leadership in the categories we operate in.

    Your Role & Responsibilities

    Working closely with the insights manager you will be responsible for:

    Business Operations:

    • Brand Marketing Investment/ Overheads: Working with Marketing Ops lead to
    • Media Agency: Capacity planning, relationship building
    • Support on Annual Business planning, Strategic review, Marketing Calendar etc.
    • Be the lead for data exploration within marketing (training provided)
    • Data Separation preparation:
    • Lead support for EB 2025 data needs – CMI RFQ process across suppliers collaborating with NA and Europe
    • Future fit the business by ensuring data history is reliable and accessible to drive the business forward
    • Innovation testing: Lead some primary research projects as needed to ensure consumer intimacy is at the heart of all we do.

    Your Attributes

    A base (but not expert) understanding of the importance of consumer insight and how this translates into marketing planning and execution. You will have plenty of opportunities to develop these skills further in the type of work you will be asked to do.

    Proven experience of prioritizing and organizing work across projects in a busy, dynamic working environment.

    Sound understanding of the digital landscape with detailed knowledge of social media and/or search planning, buying and measurement an advantage.

    Evidence of analytical skills in reviewing data and pulling out key insights. Strength with numbers, moderate Microsoft excel skills.

    Experience working on beauty or personal care brands will be an advantage but not a necessity.

    What is the role…

    In this role you will support the key interface with some of our largest Customer accounts, bringing together our Supply Chain and Commercial teams to help build and drive business growth. You will support the voice of the customer within Elida Beauty and the voice of our supply chain externally.

    As a result you will be key to implement improvements based on commercial, relationship and strategic information.

    This role is integral to bringing the supply chain to the commercial conversation. Communication and analytical skills are therefore critical. You will be the person who understands and anticipates where things might go wrong and works to ensure that all key people are aware and taking action.

    Your Role & Responsibilities

    • Focus on improving service and Customer OnTime InFull
    • Support joint forecasting (helping ready the supply chain to deliver)
    • Help deliver business growth and profitability through data based opportunity analysis
    • Contribute to e2e efficiency projects with a view to always improving OSA (On Shelf availability) & cost
    • Problem resolution to drive the above

    Role & Responsibilities

    As an eCommerce analyst your will have the opportunity to work in the fastest growing and arguably most excited channel in the business. In this fast changing environment, no two days will look the same and you will have the opportunity to work with leading online retailers and online beauty stores. Working closely with the channel manager, you will help ensure that our brands look good and perform well online.

    Account management: Responsible for managing the commercial and marketing relationship with selected Beauty.com retailers.

    Perfect Store Online: Understanding the shopper path to purchase, and how our brands engage with shoppers through their journey. Obsessing over our brands’ content, availability, search and reviews appear online across beauty.com and omnichannel.

    New Revenue Streams: help support in unlocking opportunities in new and exciting areas such as social commerce or rapid delivery.

    Digital Marketing: working closely with our marketing and shopper marketing teams, ensure that all agreed marketing support is executed and optimised across beauty.com and omnichannel.

    Data and reporting: have a good understanding of performance across relevant accounts, and aid in developing reports to track performance. Share insights with the relevant teams to create meaningful impact. Data in this regard goes beyond sales data, and looks at ecommerce specific metrics.

    Supply Chain: work closely with our customer services teams to ensure that orders are being fulfilled on time and in full, 􀍹aging and assist in solving any issues that may arise.

    Omnichannel: assist and guide account managers in optimising their omnichannel businesses through growing their market share index.

    What is the role…

     

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious intern to contribute to the new product development for the hair category within the Elida Beauty business. This role requires working with multiple partners, including the brand teams, along with functions across the wider team.

    Exciting and fast-paced, this will be a busy and dynamic environment where you will be expected to work collectively with teams across the business to unlock the power of our brands for both consumers and the customer.

    This is an exciting role where an intern can really learn a lot and get to grips with working in a marketing team and contributing to iconic brands in Elida Beauty’s Hair portfolio.

    A passion for consumer understanding will be key, as we seek to lead categories with highly functional product performance linked to insight driven claims that result in conversion to sales.

     

    Reporting into the Elida Hair Innovation Manager, you will work together to be the market and consumer trends experts, leading innovation planning and execution, as well as margin accretion and compliancy initiatives across the hair brands in the Elida Beauty portfolio.

    This will require the ability to take a big picture approach and to work closely with stakeholders to drive growth. You will need to work particularly closely internally with commercial, R&D, finance, and supply chain teams as well as external partners to deliver exciting innovation roadmap plans and new product launches into market.

    Your Role & Responsibilities

    Market and consumer trends : Working closely with the consumer insight and analytics manager you will need to ensure the rest of the team are up to speed and act as the experts for the business.

    • Analysing and discovering insight from claims
    • Contributing to the hair innovation roadmap: Together with the innovation manager you will identify product gaps and opportunities, or upgrades that can drive brand or profit growth.
    • Innovation project activity: The innovation team will guide projects from insight through to execution in market.. Working with the brand activation teams you will conduct thorough post launch evaluations to ensure all learnings are recycled back into the business.
    • Compliancy, quality and savings: The Innovation team will also be responsible for any marketing inputs required on projects driving legal compliancy (due to changes in regulations) and or savings initiatives designed to drive margin accretion.

    Your Attributes

    This is a one year internship and the main requirement is a passion for learning and marketing.

    Your Attributes

    • Experience of MS Excel data manipulation and MS Office applications, a commercial acumen would be helpful in the role.

  • R&D Industrial Placement: Formulation scientist

    12-month Industrial Placement

    Your Role & Responsibilities

    The IP student will experience abroad context of R&D, the end to end of the new product development. They will lead the formulation design for one of the Elida Beauty brands for the year. This will develop their overall leadership skills, working with other functions consumer needs, insights and claims, and the full technical development process of new product development.

    Your Attributes

    • Existing right to work in UK, ability to work in English language
    • Demonstrated strong aptitude for formulation development.
    • Understanding and knowledge of key processes in formulation development
    • A creative, logical and analytical mind to generate innovative solutions to technical problems.
    • Ability to apply business leadership skills understanding and prioritise the impact of formulation development decisions on cost, consumer and environment.
    • You will need to be enthusiastic and self-motivated with good verbal and written communication skills. Computer literacy is a must for this role as well as patience for online systems

They will business partner one of the Elida Beauty brands and take responsibility for the technical project leadership of this brand for the year. This will develop their overall leadership skills, working with other functions, business cases, consumer needs, insights and claims, and the full technical development process of new product development.

    Your Role & Responsibilities

    The IP student will experience a broad context of R&D, the end to end of the new product development. This will develop their overall leadership skills, working with other functions, business cases, consumer needs, insights and claims, and the full technical development process of new product development.

     

    • Lead/support processing workstream across Elida Beauty products
    • Support R&D initiatives of innovation, quality, cost savings, complexity reduction and sustainability by design
    • Work as part of the project team to coordinate and deliver all elements of process development and scale up through 3Ps and suppliers, in addition to internal confirmatory testing and analysis
    • Identify new processing opportunities to deliver to consumer, customer and business needs – including, but not limited to, new and more sustainable product solutions and cost savings
    • Input broader processing thinking to x-functional team, such as cost opportunities, new technologies and partnerships and functional product improvements through improved manufacturing

    Your Role & Responsibilities

    • Assist in category performance reporting and analysis
    • Assist in brand and competitor deep dive and analysis
    • Assist in category range reviews, new product sell-in & trade story
    • Assist in Shopper Insight projects, specifically to support project outputs and narrative
    • Ownership of Elida Beauty ‘In Real Life’ Reports, including team scheduling, creation & report updating
    • Other day-to-day ad hoc as required by team lead
